Interesting Selection
In the supermarket closest to my hotel was a meat counter. Hanging behind that meat counter were several hams (€39) and one mountain bike (€149). Really.
Interesting Names
In Salou is a fast food restaurant named Icky’s. Really.
There was also one called Bamby Antiploe.
Interesting Purchase
I went into one of Spain’s versions of a dollar store. On one rack was a small selection of birthday candles shaped like numbers. There were two choices: zeros and nines. One of the zeros came with a small clown.
Certainly, somewhere, there has to be a larger selection. I mean, wouldn’t Spain be a sad place if they could only use candles to celebrate three birthdays: your zero birthday, your ninth birthday, and your 90th birthday?
