After the Bombings

The Saturday following the bombings, I ventured into London. Many people had placed floral tributes in the area around Kings Cross Station.

International news crews were set up across the street.

In the Underground, platforms were eerily empty.

Earlier that day, I went to the Rhythms of the World music festival in Hitchin. This banner was hanging from the church’s tower. The quote is:
‘And so, even though we face the difficulties of today and tomorrow, I still have a dream.’
Martin Luther King
