Better Living Through Science

On July 10, the Sunday Telegraph reported that a school in Gloucestershire (pronounced ‘Gloster-shure’ – really)is testing a molecular coding kit to combat thieves and vandals. Although the article did not explain too well, it seems that the solution, made by a company called SmartWater, is smeared on items. When the item is stolen (and I’m guessing here), scientists can take swabs from the items and from thieves hands and scientifically compare it to identify it conclusively.

Okay, if nothing else, this article is an example of an article that does not adequately describe what’s going on.
