Pancake Day
Yesterday (Tuesday, February 8) was Pancake Day in England. In honor of Shrove Tuesday, people here eat pancakes. Lots of pancakes.
Only, they're not like American pancakes. Somewhat flatter, more like French crepes, these pancakes are traditionally eaten with sugar and freshly-squeezed lemon. Occasionally, you'll have other fillings - I've seen Mexican chicken, tuna, and sweet corn (but not all in the same pancake).
